Just some more vignettes from Calcutta's City of Palaces... the good part of this place is its amazing connectivity. Even apart from the horrid blue buses, the metro covers both flanks of the B.B.D. Bagh area - at Esplanade and at Chandni Chowk.
Premankur and I first got off at Esplanade station on this escapade - walked over to the Governor's residence, down Dalhousie Square, right past the Allahabad Bank office and towards Writers' Building, into a little corner lane that came out near the RBI building, and then down that road to the General Post Office.
O, but wait, that wasn't all...
